NYC Bridal Market- Day 2

Day 2 started with hopping a cab to the upper 50’s to catch a morning appointment with Anne Barge. Anne’s new designs range from fun, flirty trumpets to airy, lace ball gowns. Once thing’s for sure, Anne understands how the southern bride thinks. Being from Atlanta and a proud graduate of UGA, she has a strong appreciation for southern charm & class. Her designs are frequently inspired by classic fashion icons of the 1950’s, like Jacqueline Kennedy and Audrey Hepburn. Each gown possesses something incredibly unique that gives it loads of personality. Like this fabulous polka dot dress with the bow tied sash…. a dream come true for the ultimate preppy bride!

Next it was on to the JLM Couture showroom where I had the opportunity to view the new Jim Hjelm & Blush collections. This season, belts have been the newest, hottest trend in wedding fashion & for good reason! Dressing up your gown with a fabulous jeweled or colored belt can give your wedding day look that extra wow factor you may be after. Check out this gorgeous jeweled belt showcased on a gown from the newest Jim Hjelm collection.

NYC Bridal Market- Day 1

There’s nothing like the city in the springtime…..And a few weeks ago I had the distinct pleasure of meeting with some of the top designers in the industry at New York City’s Bridal Market. Each designer showed off their fabulous new collections and showed the world what’s in store for brides this coming fall. The weekend was filled with viewing collection after collection, all of which exhibited the most intricate and detailed of designs.

Day 1, I traveled up to the Garment District to Judd Waddell’s showroom. Judd’s designs wowed me with their simple elegance and stood true to his design philosophy: “notice the woman first, the dress second.” I love Judd’s jeweled accents & broaches, along with his diamond jeweled buttons. They give each dress the perfect hint of glamour. Here were some of my favorites:

Next, it was on to the Modern Trousseau showroom where the girls & designer Callie Tein welcomed me with open arms & champagne. They were absolutely fabulous! Along with their new collection….. From romantic lace to edgy ball gowns, you can’t go wrong with this collection!
